PAHIYAS IN LUCBAN is an artwork created by Sigwada Knicolai showing her experiences during her visit to Lucban Quezon's Pahiyas. This artwork is a picture of the Philippines as a religious nation, their love for food and colors.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Sigwada Knicolai Mendoza is a Fine Arts (Major in Painting) graduate from The University Of The Philippines Cebu. She is now known for whimsical works influenced from her 9 years of teaching art at the La Salle Greenhills grade school.
She has had several solo and group exhibits here and abroad, among which are the JOHO Foundation (The Hague, Netherlands, June 16, 2018) and the Boxless Society (a mental health advocate and support group for artists).
She is also a member of the Dibuho Kisame Crew, and was part of the mural ceiling project in Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, Bantayan Island Cebu, the oldest church ever built in the Visayas.
